#96 The books that made us love reading | Happy world book day | πŸ“š

Happy world book day everyone!
Today I'm going to be talking to you about one of my favourite books alongside Anjalee, Becky and Celeste (also make sure you read right to the end for something exciting!)

I have a lot of favourite books, as most of you probably know seeing as I'm always crying over a new book (it's currently Maggie Harcourt's Unconventional) but there are some books that just stick with you, one of which is J.M. Barrie's, Peter Pan!

I've loved Peter Pan for as long as I can remember and I've read the book multiple times and I've of course seen the Disney adaption (and the sequel) more times than I can count.

I remember heading to the cinema aged eight to see P.J. Hogan's Peter Pan in 2003 and covering my eyes whenever the crocodile appeared and loving the magic of the story in front of my eyes.

I remember the first time I watched Marc Foster's Finding Neverland and crying for hours on end at how beautiful the story was, I still can't watch it without crying.

When I was younger a lot of books (mostly written by Jacqueline Wilson and J.K. Rowling not gonna lie) inspired me to keep reading and also writing my own stories and despite various reading slumps I've had I'll either pick up a cheesy YA novel or just throw myself back into the world of Neverland with the mermaids, fairies, Lost Boys and the boy who never grows up!

To properly celebrate World Book day me and my lovely blogger girlies are going to giving away a YA book bundle for one lucky winner
☆ Caraval by Stephanie Garber
☆ A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
☆ My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand
☆ The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

  12. You just reminded me that the movie Finding Neverland exists! (And I really need to watch it again).
Do you also watch the Tinkerbell movies? I know they aren't really Peter Pan related, but they are still cute and magical :)
