#71 September reading wrap up

Hello lovlies, it's time for my second reading wrap up so lets get straight into it!

I didn't read quite as much in September as I did in August but I still wanted to share with you these great books!

The Special Ones Em Bailey - ★★★★☆ (and a half)
This book completely gripped me! Set on a farm the reader is thrown into the lives of Esther (the protagonist), Harry, Lucile and Felcity who all live together in an old abandoned farm house being watched over by 'him'
The stories closely follows Esther as she goes through her daily routine in the farmhouse and we learn about her fears of the 'renewal', so what happens when 'he' tells her that her time is up?
I'd never read anything like this book so I didn't know what to expect but in the end I ended up really enjoying it!

Solitaire Alice Oseman - ★★★★☆
Alice has definitely become one of my favourite authors recently simply because of how much I loved Solitaire and her other novel Radio Silence
I was so intrigued by who 'Solitarie' was throughout the novel and I loved how real Tori (the novel's protagonist) felt! For a full review/summary click here to see my author spotlight on Alice!

The Last Beginning Lauren James - ★★★★★
Okay you're probably all bored of me raving about Lauren's new book but I just love it SO much so rather than talk about it too much I'm just gonna leave the link for the review here!

Girl on the Train Paula Hawkins - ★★★★☆
This had been on my TBR for the longest time after both my parents read the book and then lent it to me!
I finally got round to reading it when the film posters started popping up. I'd never really read anything from this genre and honestly I'm loving it a lot more than I thought it would.
I'm honestly not a fan of any characters but I think that's what makes it so good if that makes sense, it kinda makes you feel better about your own life!

So many moments have had me gripped and I've had a few too many late nights trying to figure out what's happening!

Let me know what books you read last month and what's on your TBR!

  1. I always love to see what other people are reading and I get so excited when I see that other people have read the same book as me! (I hope this isn't just me that gets like that hehe).

Great recommendations poppet, they all sound fab! I just finished reading the girl on the train and it was bloody incredible. I'm going to see the film this week with my friend & I'm so excited. I really hope it lives up to the book!

What a great wee post chick,
    Keep up the good work!
