#60 Sheffield Vegan Festival

Hello, lovlies yesterday I met one of my blogger babes Leanne from Latte Leanne and together we attended the vegan festival in Sheffield (x)!

I've now been vegetarian for over three months and it was honestly the best thing I've ever done! I would honestly love to go vegan but sadly due to health reasons, I can't but I do love trying vegan food and recipes so the festival was perfect for me!

It cost just £2 (£1 for children) to get in which was great value as there was much so much to see - there were two floors packed with stalls and also rooms designated for talks (which we didn't attend)

Seeing so many stalls and listening to the people get really passionate about veganism and the importance of living a cruelty-free life was so inspiring - I especially loved learning about how Greenpeace are getting involved with supermarkets to help inspire and change the providers they buy from!

The first stall we went to was anandas marshmallow confections (the website can be found here) which is a small Derbyshire based company who specialise in making vegetarian marshmallows (marshmallows tend to include gelatin) there was so many different flavours, sizes and types of marshmallows and it took us so long to decided what to buy!
In the end, I went for the Choco Mocha Grab Bag and a Round Up which is essentially a vegetarian wagon wheel - it was honestly so good!

Another stall we visited was the Derma Enhance store a family run company specialising in a deep moisturiser for face and body perfect for those with psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, acne and dry skin in general! This moisturiser is packed full of lovely natural ingredients such as cranberry and aloe vera! I decided to pick up the small pot 50ml pot and I'm so excited to give it a proper go! To find out more about this lovely brand click here!

The next stall we visited was TeenVGN a social network sort of support group aimed at teenage vegetarians and vegans - despite being 20 I really liked this stall and even picked up a few little goodies - a little vegan recipe book with recipes from bloggers for just £1.50, two badges and also a little sticker which is going to be perfect for blog props haha!

I also picked up some eyeshadows from the Bohemian Chic Minerals stall, so look out for a full review coming next week!

All in all, yesterday was an amazing day and was also super inspiring! I also can't stop thinking about the amazing vegan nachos and cupcake I ate for lunch!

Are you vegan or vegetarian? If no would you give either a try? Let me know and don't forget to read Leanne's post on the vegan festival (x)!

  6. Oh my gosh this sounds like so much fun! I'm in the process of going cruelty-free so going veggie & vegan are on my to-do list, unfortunately my anaemia is making that a difficult thing to achieve currently. I'd love to go to something like this, I may have to get planning! Looks like you picked up some fab stuff too

  9. OMG oh Sheffield, miss that place. We love all food ways too much to ever go Vegan, but it doesn't mean to say that we'd never try - we actually got some future plans to go to vegan restaurants and try to make our own vegan food for the blog!

It sounded like you've had an amazing day and it's only made me want to try our all these things! Thanks for sharing!
