#53 Cruelty-free beauty and skincare haul

Hello lovelies,  since starting introducing more cruelty-free makeup and skincare into my everyday routine whilst throwing away products that have been tested on animals I thought I'd take a trip to Superdrug just to pick up some bits and bobs!

The main thing I was looking for in Superdrug was the Barry M eyeliner I'd had my eye on and that's the Barry M Blink Waterproof Precision Eyeliner, packaging wise this eyeliner is very similar to the L'Oréal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim Intense which I swore by before going cruelty-free!

I have really bad hay fever that makes my eyes water and my eyeliner run so I'd been on the hunt for a waterproof eyeliner that wasn't a liquid one (I don't get on with them at all).
When I got home I tested the liner on my hand and placed it under a running tap and the eyeliner did not budge! For just £4.59 this eyeliner was a bargain!

Due to the style and size of the eyeliner it was SO hard to photo and edit - sorry!

The next product I picked up was the Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive 3in1 Micellar Cleansing Water, although I rarely use micellar water anymore (I used to use Garnier's) I find that it's really handy to have a bottle on hand! At the moment Superdrug has half price on selected Nivea skincare so I picked this up for just £1.99 instead of £4.09.

I then decided to pick up some new toothpaste, after much googling I couldn't find out if my current toothpaste was CF or not, however, seeing as I'm coming to the end of the tube I thought I may as well pick up some more. All of Superdrug's own brand products are CF, therefore, I decided to pick up their own toothpaste and it was a bargain! I got a double pack of whitening toothpaste for just £1.49! Can you even get one tube for that?

Finally, I just grabbed some of Superdrug's own face wipes, again I don't really use these that often but I find them really handy for fixing eyeliner mistakes and wiping off foundation from the back of my hand.

Altogether (minus my big bottle of water) this came up to £9.06 (minus offers the total would be £11.16) which shows that it's not hard or expensive to go cruelty-free!

  1. I've been looking for a cruelty free toothpaste and I completely forgot about Superdrug's brand! My eyes are awful at this time of year too so I'm going to look at that Barry M liner - thank you! xx
