#6 Six step oreo cake balls

A few months ago I made these with my best friend who’d gotten the recipe off her friend’s sister. We had so much fun making these so I decided to give them another go!

Ingredients

madeira cake, oreos, white chocolate
 Recipe

1. First off you need to start by melting the chocolate, either in the microwave or in a on the stove. I personally prefer to melt mine over the stove but it’s honestly up to you!

Now it’s time to crush the oreos, using as many as you like! To do this you either do it by hand by placing the oreos in a food bag and using a rolling pin or spoon to crush them or by placing them in a food processor

Once your oreos are crushed it’s time to add the cake, I use a lemon Madeira cake because not only is it delicious but also helps to cut through the sweetness of the oreos and chocolate making them less sickly.
You can either break up the cake until small pieces by hand or put it in the food processor with the oreos, again using as much as you like

Once you’ve crushed and combined the oreos and cake, it’s time to bind the two ingredients together. Taking some of the chocolate you’ve already melted add it your ingredients and using either a wooden spoon or your hands mix it all together until everything is combined.

Top tip: I know everything will smell great but try not to eat anything yet!

Now for this step you definitely have to use your hands. Simply split your mixture into small balls placing them on a plate or a tray and then leave them in the fridge for about ten minutes to set.

After the oreo cake balls have set you can  then coat each ball in white chocolate then place back on the plate or tray and leave the chocolate set!

It’s as simple as that! They’re simple to make and taste so good!
