#102 ...With her nose stuck in a book
I've missed blogging so much but I just haven't been able to get back into the swing of it after I took a little break! However, I'm determined to get back into via a little insight into what I've been reading lately!
So according to goodreads I've read 18 of 20 books of the year so I'm most likely going to reach my goal!
Windfall, Jennifer E.Smith - ★★★★☆
The last book I'd read when I last properly blogged was Windfall by Jennifer E.Smith, which I loved (don't forget it's out next month on the 4th May!) For my proper review, click here!
The Sin Eater's Daughter, Melinda Salisbury - ★★★★★
If you read my last blog post (x) you'll have known that I rushed to Waterstones to get the next two books in this series not long after I'd read the first one!
I find myself really struggle to get into fantasy and I much prefer contemporary YA, but I loved The Sin Eater's Daughter and it had me on the edge of my seat!

I started The Sleeping Prince (The Sin Eater's Daughter #2) however I find that with series of books (especially fantasy) that I need to leave a good amount of time between each book, so I'll hopefully come back to it soon!
Talking As Fast As I Can, Lauren Graham - ★★★★☆
I finally got round to reading Lauren Graham's autobiography which I bought back in January! This was such an easy read because it had such a lovely chatty feel to it! If you're a fan of Gilmore girls I definitely recommend it!
The Hate U Give, Angie Thomas - ★★★★★
Next up was the INCREDIBLE The Hate U Give by the equally incredible Angie Thomas! This is one of those books that I just want to scream about! Inspired by Black Lives Matter and police brutality The Hate U Give follows Starr, who witnesses the murder of her best friend by a policeman.
After I read this book I was speechless, simply due to how wonderful and powerful this book is! I was so nervous when I met Angie the next day at Waterstones Deansgate that I didn't manage to tell her how I felt (so hey if you're reading this!)
The Last Summer Of Us, Maggie Harcourt - ★★★★★
The State of Grace, Rachael Lucas - ★★★★☆
This is such a lovely YA book that had me in fits of laughter as well as tears! The book's protagonist (Grace) is autistic so getting an insight into an illness that I sadly don't know a lot about was really interesting! Both Rachael and her daughter are autistic so it was very real throughout which makes it such an important read!
This book is full of loveable characters (I just really love Grace, Gabe and Polly okay) There is also representation of both autism and ADHD as well as LGBT+ representation!

This is another book which I bought ages ago but only just got round to reading and I ended up reading it in about a day I think! I just fell in love with the characters and Maggie's writing and it further cemented my love for Maggie!

So many diverse reads here, Vicki! I love the sound of The State of Grace - if a book can make me laugh out loud, I'm a huge fan! I've heard great things about Lauren Graham's book too!

I love to read but I either devour 12 books in as many days or don't read for months and months. I'm currently in the latter stage, so this has given me the boost I need to get my head back in a book!
