#50 My favourite book

Hello lovelies, today I thought I'd start a (hopefully) ongoing series all about books and authors! I've been a massive bookworm for as long as I can remember and I've wanted to delve into the book blogging world - so here we go!

*all photos are my own unless stated otherwise*

I've raved about this book online ever since I read it but I'm still hopelessly in love with the story and the characters. The Next Together by Lauren James is about two characters who are destined to be together no matter the time period!
This book is perfect if you're kind of other the slightly cringey romances in YA novels because although it does have romance there's also aspects of history and science fiction with various twists and turns which made me unable to put the book down - something that I haven't found in a YA novel in a long time!

The story spans four times periods - 2039, 1745, 1854 and 2019 covering events such as the Crimea War and the Seig of Carlise. What I loved about the 2039 storyline was how it was told via emails and notes on the fridge and I loved how Lauren effortlessly and seamlessly incorporated news articles, letters, websites and diary entries throughout the novel.

It's taken me so long to write a proper blog
post on The Next Together - I read it back in February and first featured it in my March favourites (x), but seeing as the cover for the sequel was released a few weeks ago I thought now would be the perfect time to share with you all my love for this book!

The sequel 'The Last Begining' comes out on the 6th October in the UK and in autumn 2017 in America, the cover is just as stunning and I'm so excited!!
Lauren James is also releasing a novella tomorrow exclusively on Kindle and e-book titled 'Another Together' - ah I'm so excited!!!

Look how pretty all three covers look together!!!

I love this book so much that it has inspired me to explore this genre more for my dissertation!

What's your favourite book/s?
